Relative Immigration

Application Qualifications

U.S. citizens can apply for immigration for relatives who:

  1. Spouse

  2. Unmarried children under 21 years old

  3. Unmarried children over 21 years old

  4. Married children over 21 years old

  5. Parents (applicants must be 21 years of age or older)

  6. Brothers and sisters (applicants must be 21 years of age or older)

U.S. green card holders can apply for immigration for the following relatives:

  1. Spouse

  2. Unmarried children under 21 years old

  3. Unmarried children over 21 years old

Government Fees (Applicants in the U.S.)​​

  • I-130:$675 

  • I-485 (Green Card): $1440

  • I-131 (Advance Parole): $260 (optional)

  • I-765 (work permit): $630 (optional)

Note: All the above immigration government fees are updated to April 1, 2024. If there are any changes, you must pay according to the latest government fees.​​​​

Application Process

U.S. Citizens Petitioning for Relatives in the U.S.

  • No schedule

  • Submit forms I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765, etc. at the same time

U.S. Green Card Holders Petitioning for Relatives in the U.S.

  • Filing an I-130 to lock your waiting date

  • Submit I-485, I-131, I-765 and other forms after the waiting period

U.S. Citizens/Green Card Holders Petitioning for Relatives Outside the U.S.

  • Submit I-130

  • Attend a visa interview at the U.S. Consulate after I-130 approval

  • Obtain an immigrant visa to travel to the United States

  • Obtaining a green card after entering the country
