EB-1A is a green card category specifically designed for individuals with extraordinary ability. It is classified as the first preference category for employment-based immigration and does not require sponsorship from a U.S. employer or job offer. The EB-1A category targets exceptional talent across various fields, including science, arts, education, business, and athletics.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate a record of extraordinary achievement and recognition in their field.
This can include receiving a major, internationally recognized award such as a Nobel Prize or Pulitzer Prize, or meeting at least 3 out of the following 10 criteria:

Receipt of nationally or internationally recognized awards.

Membership in associations requiring outstanding achievements in the field.

Media coverage of the applicant’s work or achievements.

Serving as a judge or evaluator of the work of others in the same field.

Significant original contributions to their field, either scholarly or artistic.
