Government Filing Fees

• By Mail: $470

• Online Application: $420

• Premium Processing: $1,965 (Available only for F1/F2 student visa changes)

Processing Time​

• Currently, only F1/F2 student visa applications are eligible for premium processing, with results typically issued within 30 calendar days.

• Other applications generally take between 3 to 6 months to process.

• Once the application is submitted, applicants are legally allowed to remain in the U.S. while awaiting the outcome.​

Important: Applications for a change of status must be submitted before the expiration of the original non-immigrant status.
